Eight Over Four recap
May 2, 2016
My printmaking classmates and I had a show a little while ago called Eight Over Four, and we were all so pleased with the turn out. I just wanted to post this and say thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed what we were able to put together.

Documenting how to prep a lithography stone
March 13, 2016
Sped up this clip as it originally ran for 22 minutes! I actually started it after doing two rounds of 80 grit. At one point I knocked the edge of the smaller stone and chipped it’s corner.

Second large litho for my current series
February 23, 2016
Just finished up my first etch after drawing this today. I started with a different image but really did not like it so I redid my stone. Luckily it didn’t have too much dark tusche already in it so it was relatively easy. Even when I started the other drawing…

Playing around with Lithography crayons
February 12, 2016
So with my current series I want to play with the mixing of anatomy as well as things that I love. The series’ current title is “A Home Within Myself” as the last few print series I was dealing with the loss of the sense of home, and how I…

Rolled up and second etch
January 30, 2016
Yesterday I was on campus so I thought I may as well stop in and do my roll up and second etch. Things came out really nicely, and I actually kept more light tones than I was expecting.
A lot of fine lines managed to stay in the washes.
Really…

Finishing up my first large litho
January 29, 2016
Rosin + talc’ed, first etch, and buffed!
Was feeling a bit stressed today when I was heading into the studio, but that immediately went away as soon as I started to work on my stone. In this series I wanted to explore the idea of combining the human body and…

Exciting new litho exploration
January 23, 2016
all dried and ready to be tucked in
New semester, old techniques. For some crazy reason last semester I decided to take on a very dark subject matter which now I currently regret. It’s something I may explore when I am older, and the wounds from it aren’t so fresh.…

Raising funds to buy fribre trays
January 22, 2016
My love for the darkroom and specifically fibre prints comes at an expense. Not too long ago I bought some 20”x24” fibre paper and then was told we don’t have trays that could accommodate printing. I want to continue my Portal series but much larger, and was planning on doing…

Experiments with the Pinhole Blender Mini
January 15, 2016
Richard bought me this lovely pinhole camera for my birthday, and I’ve been experimenting with it recently since then. It’s difficult to fully understand because it is basically a can with a hole in it, and an take up and supply knobs (http://www.pinholeblender.com/mini120.htm). However it is a lot of fun!…

Busy start to the summer
June 20, 2015
Things have been going really well as of late. The summer photo classes are almost over, and the first half of the summer semester is almost done which I’m glad for. In between semesters I’m going to get a week off haha, but it’ll be good to rest for a…

Sorting through old videos
May 4, 2015
Today I was sorting through some old videos that were on my last cell phone, and came across a few that I find really spellbinding
They’re just of trees moving in the wind, and this time of year is quickly approaching here. I’ve always enjoyed nights where it was a…

A Very Busy Week!
April 10, 2015
This week has been and will be incredibly busy for me, but in a good way! Tomorrow I’m going to be visiting three galleries: UTAC for the Shelly Peterson exhibit as I have yet to see it, Smithereens by my print making professor Lisa Neighbour, as well as the FILL’ER…

Video project done on film.
February 28, 2015
In my current photography course I have a video project coming up next week. I despise video projects. They’re just not for me. However this time around I got to ask my instructor if it would be possible to do my project on film instead of digitally. Lucky for my…

Goodbye 2014
December 31, 2014
Everyone seems to be doing a farewell to 2014, and I couldn’t be happier that this year is over. This past year has been incredibly hard on me, and I am glad to see it go. If you’re a close friend of mine you know what has been going on…

Work In Progress: Stereoscopic Views of Eastern Canada
October 12, 2014
I finally had some time the other day to develop some of my own film from the summer road trip out East. I am really excited to see how the other photos turn out as I have only come across two rolls that were done with my pinhole holga stereoscopic…

Work in Progress: Protection
October 4, 2014
In this new project I am exploring the idea of protection, and who is really protected. There are two more series of images I want to work with this project but due to time constraints I have been unable to get them done. I do plan on finishing up this…

Work In Progress: Veiled
September 21, 2014
So this is a project that has been on my mind all summer. I finally got to shoot with my friends Madolyn and Raph this past Thursday, and I still have to shoot with Felecia. It’s just an idea that would not let me be, and at least I’m on…

Portal series, yokai, and printing
March 17, 2014
With an upcoming project I plan on expanding on my Portal series that I just uploaded, and the idea of demons or more specifically Japanese yokai. So far my sketches have been inspired by how different Japanese yokai look, and it appeals to me aesthetically
I’m still debating on what…

Hello 4ormat
March 11, 2014
Since I heard about this blog beta I have been very excited! I used to have a blog for quite a long time but haven’t found a place in which I felt comfortable posting. My tumblr is more a collection of images than anything else and I just never felt…
