Goodbye 2014
December 31, 2014Everyone seems to be doing a farewell to 2014, and I couldn’t be happier that this year is over. This past year has been incredibly hard on me, and I am glad to see it go. If you’re a close friend of mine you know what has been going on with me and I appreciate all of your support.
However, I don’t want this entry to be such a downer so I am glad to announce here that I have been included in Visual Arts Mississauga’s 37th Juried show for 2015! I am really excited to finally be able to show my work in my home town, and that of the 232 applications I was one that was picked. The piece that got into the show is a photograph from the My House series:
I have to do a little bit of printing come the first week back, but the dark room is usually very slow the first couple weeks. I hope that this will continue to be a trend as I have also applied for The Shelley Peterson Student Art Exhibition for 2015. The application close date is February 1st, but I hope I hear back sooner as I’m a bit anxious.
I am also excited to start new projects this coming semester as print making made me feel a little lacking, but I have new ideas which will rejuvenate my love for the medium. I also have plans for photography and I am so excited to start them. I think I may be the only one who is excited to go back to class, but I am also excited to see all of my classmates. Here’s hoping 2015 will be inspiring.
